Employment Resources - What Are Your Tax Dollars Doing to Help You?

Employment Resources - What Are Your Tax Dollars Doing to Help You?

Yesterday I posted a blog entry about the Toronto Public Library and their career and job search help resources. They were kind enough to mention the London Public Library's Digital Library (link on the left side of the homepage) which also offers digital resources. When I was surfing the London Public Library's web page I also found that they have an Employment Resources Centre that has on-site hours of operation for job seekers to use the Internet to search the Job Bank and other job posting sites, fax résumés free of charge to employers anywhere in Canada, e-mail résumés to employers, search daily classified ads, and create cover letters. They recommend that you call ahead to ensure a facilitator is available to help you (contact number is 519-661-4600).

Another site that is a good starting place, and something you may want to add to your favourites is the Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities where they have " your one-stop source of information about jobs, job search skills, training, education, and other services for employees and employers" that are offered by the Ontario Government.

I hope these sites help get you started - there are some really good places to get help whether your trying to find a job or continue to grow your career.
