Thinking outside the Box:Options outside of Canada

Here's an interesting option that might not work for everyone but I wish I would have known about it when I was right out University.

Did you know that if you are a Canadian citizen between the ages of 18 and 35, you can work legally for up to one year in many different countries? Whether it is to gain valuable international work experience or to finally take that trip of a lifetime you’ve always imagined, why not become one of more than 23,000 young Canadians who travel and work abroad each year.

The Government of Canada has a site with all the information about this program. So if you, or someone you know, would be interested this is a great place to find some information on options outside of the usual local jobs for youth.

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada has apparently negotiated agreements with several countries and has partnered with various organizations to allow Canadians to easily obtain a temporary work permit and gain professional and personal experience abroad.
